Contemporary style, traditional and some reportage wedding photography undertaken. I prefer to work with you to capture a combination of the traditional formal poses and more relaxed casually styled candid images away from the crowds. I have to tell you one needs some time to captures these great images while keeping a balance of not robbing your guests of your presence. A delicate balancing act where a well organised Bride and best man is truly invaluable. See the web links on this page for some up to date pictures and variations in style.
Most weddings could be covered by a second photographer or videographer if you wish your day to be captured in full HD DVD. The 2nd photographer would work with the Groom and Best Man up to the ceremony and thereafter to take some candid shots of the day and posed images with guests and family etc. This allows the second photographer to keep the wedding guests occupied while the more formal shots are recorded. Many of the guests can have their own portraits taken while they wait for the main meal to be served or the arrival of the Bride, Groom and remainder of the wedding party.
We also offer a “Touch of Magic” with Scotland’s Magician Scott Cuthbertson who can dazzle and amuse your guests while the photography is taking place, and keep the kids occupied too. Not to be missed and a great addition to your day. Make it more memorable with that touch of “Magic”. They will all love it!
Your big day needs to be captured your way in still images and we will do our utmost to record it to your style or wishes. After the cake has been eaten, the decorations have been pulled down, the bridal dress placed away in a closet or case, your children have grown up and flown the coop – you should have these images to look back on. Your old Auntie, Grandma, Mum and Dad, recorded for many years to come. It is only as we grow older that the true value of these images become apparent. A permanent record of your day with all your family and friends enjoying your big occasion – never to be forgotten. Images that last a lifetime or more.
Now lets hope that all of us who live in Scotland get the right weather on the day. Its one of the few elements we cannot control for your wedding – for the rest we have the event planners – usually yourself! I have invested quite heavily in various lighting set ups and arrangements so we will have something that will illuminate your day, no matter what the weather provides. Training and experience with the right equipment assures you get the best results for your money. Full insurance cover and public liability is provided to give you peace of mind from a professional business owner. Get it right and get the images you will want to look at in 50 years time when you hopefully celebrate those other Golden moments, Diamonds are forever – your pictures should also be forever, for the generations ahead of you.
Taking the images is only the start of the process much of the work, in fact most of the labour involved is in the post production processes which can take many days to complete. Every image presented to your is individually edited by me, and we will have you looking your very best on this your wedding day.
Wedding album production can take many weeks before the final process is finished and you are happy with what is within it. All this is not cheap and some albums cost many £100s of pounds with many being produced abroad. Equally that can be the case here in the UK. The time spent capturing these images will only be truly valued and appreciated many years from now. The cost and effort involved is not cheap. While I consider the services offered here to be inexpensive, they are not cheap.
You will need to ask yourself – how can anyone do cheap? With the level of work and experience required to produce good images on your big day?. Even insurance costs being what they are ensures that cheap normally means corners are being cut somewhere in the work. I do have an inexpensive package for a civil ceremony with a few guests at the Registry office, or midweek services, at a cost of £590 approx. This is very inexpensive for what is on offer. If that suits your needs then please get in touch as I do have links with other photographers should we be booked for your date.
I hope you truly enjoy you big day and you remember it for all the right reasons. Do not leave it to chance. Look around for someone who can work with you and within your budget and style, even if that someone is not myself. The pictures will still be there – when all else has gone – please remember this – for those who follow on from you.
Glasgow wedding photography from George Monaghan of Monapics will consider most photographic assignments, so if in doubt, please ask. Have camera – will travel.
